MTV lanza canal gay para México y Brasil

Después de estrenar su canal gay en Estados Unidos a partir de este pasado verano, ahora MTV lo lleva al mundo, y los primeros son México y Brasil. Informa 365gay.com :

"Logo is expanding outside the United States, an indication there is a growing commercial market for LGBT television programming internationally.

The company announced on Monday that it will launch six-hour blocks in Mexico and Brazil. It will become the first gay oriented programming in Latin America.

The service will be available on a pay-per-view basis. It will begin on November 4 in Mexico and on November 18 in Brazil.

"This is an incredible opportunity to serve an audience that is currently underserved, while further strengthening our presence in the region," said Pierluigi Gazzolo, the managing director of MTV Networks Latin America.

The service will be available on Sky Mexico and Sky Brazil. MTV said it is also in discussions with other pay TV operators in the region.

It will feature Logo's movies specials, and original programming Gazzolo said.

“Launching Logo TV in Latin America is further proof that an entertainment network for the LGBT audience can be a real and viable business,” said Brian Graden, the president of entertainment at MTV, and president of Logo in the U.S."
