Por qué Obama entiende el Estados Unidos de hoy

Porque Estados Unidos es cada vez más como él: interracial. Su madre blanca de Kansas, su padre negro de Kenia. Un país cada vez más interracial e intercultural, como lo demuestra la página de los compromisos de matrimonio del New York Times del día de hoy. Estados Unidos tendrá muchos problemas, pero sin duda su mayor riqueza es la diversidad de su población, y como desde hace poco más de dos siglos - a diferencia de Europa - ha aprendido a vivir con más paz.
